His typical Algorean physique - “his muscles have muscles”, the familial tattoos on face, arms, legs and chest, and the confident look in his eye made even the most cocky of galactic bad boys think twice before making a rude comment to him. By far the best surfer among the crew of the Planet Hopper, winning numerous contests throughout the Milky Way in his youth, he also has some hearty life experiences that guide his leadership - including a spell at Galaxy’s End prison colony. Without Max’s unquestioned authority the crew wouldn’t have gotten out of the docking bay. They would still be sitting there arguing over which surf spot to fly to. When Max made a decision - that was the end of it. His gluelike personality holds it all together.
